The Pumpkin Patch on our Street!

We have a pumpkin patch on our street! Luke and Daddy are daily visitors. The First Christian Church has been very kind to our little pumpkin lover . . . each day, he has managed to come home with a free pumpkin and a "pumpkin patch visitor" sticker on his shirt. We went over this evening and picked out the biggest pumpkin they had for our front porch! 'Tis the season!

September at the Aldrich's

A little peak at Hank!

Here is one of Hank's tootsies.

We're expecting Hank sooner than we thought! Dr. Nanda moved his due date to October 21st! That's almost two weeks earlier--we can't wait for him to get here . . . just in time to dress him up like a little Halloween pumpkin!

What Lukester has been up to . . .

Carson's second birthday party: Laela, Carson, Luke & Bennett (Ethan is just outside of the pic!) Happy birthday, buddy!

Luke's first day of school. (Mother's day out at our church) Luke loves to carry his own lunchbox.

At his first football game--Goooo wolves!

At McDonald's ("Donalds") with Aunt KK.

Thank you, our dearest family and friends . . .

We are so grateful for all of you. Our family has been shown a great outpouring of love and support through our grief. Thank you for your kindness, thoughts and prayers. We love you dearly.

Have courage for the great sorrows of life, and patience for the small ones. And when you have laboriously accomplished your daily task, go to sleep in peace. God is awake.

In Memory of Charlene Marie Stevens

Our precious sister, Charlene, passed away August 19, after a courageous battle with adrenal cancer. Luke’s Aunt Charlene, my brother Micah’s wife, fought her illness with grace, not complaining, and ever kind to her family and friends. Only 31 years old, she battled for six months before the illness took her life. My brother was the love of her life, and she his . . . we appreciate your thoughts and prayers through this time. Charlene, we know you are with Jesus. We will squeeze you again soon.
