improving every day!

just a quick note to let everyone know that my mom is improving every day! she's at my house for a few days this week, enjoying her grand babies, who are enjoying her . . . we are so grateful for her improvement. I went to her doctor's appt. with her today, and her MRI's and other labs were mostly normal. praise the good Lord! we will see her neurologist this week--still praying for a clear diagnosis, etiology and treatment plan. we love you all and appreciate your prayers!

meanwhile, back at the ranch (or the Spaniard), Hank has started crawling, pulling up to stand, playing patty cake, and shouting out for his daddy!! Luke is still potty training, but doing very well! he's been singing & making up songs, reading us books and entertaining his brother as long as his little eyelids are open :) sweet, sweet boys!! I promise I'll post some new pics ASAP.

thank you for your continued prayers . . .

she's home today! she was released from the hospital late last night. she still has some pending labs, but everything until now has been fairly normal. praise the Lord! the doctor is recommending physical therapy and medication, but so far, that's it . . . we are so grateful. we are still praying for a clear diagnosis, etiology and treatment plan, as none of these are particularly apparent. we are praising the Lord for her good report! now, get some rest, Momma!!

thank you for your prayers!

thank you, our loved ones, for your muchly needed prayers! my mom is doing much better! she is in very good hands at the hospital, as she had much relief yesterday. the seizure-like episodes have slowed down immensely, and the doctors have been able to control her pain and nausea. God is so good! we give him the glory and much thanks for her improvement, for her doctors' wisdom and mostly, for all of you. we are still praying for a clear diagnosis, etiology and treatment plan. she is still in the hospital, but may be released today depending on her test results. we will keep you posted! thank you and we love you!

Psalm 91:1-4 1

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings.

please pray for my mom . . .

dearest friends and family, my sweet mom is in need of our prayers. she has been feeling some stiffness and pain in her neck for about a year, and it has become much worse within the last month. two weeks ago, she ended up at the doctor's office as it was getting much worse . . . in the last week and a half, she has started having seizure-like episodes which have gradually progressed from every few hours to every 45 minutes. she has been diagnosed with a neurological movement disorder and was hospitalized yesterday. she will have an MRI and other tests this morning. we are praying for a clear diagnosis, etiology and treatment. bless her sweet heart, she went from being fully functional to needing someone by her side around the clock. we need your prayers! we are ever grateful for all of you! love you all!

thank you God, for our freedom

thank you to our soldiers and to our loved ones who have served and made sacrifices in the military for our country . . . to Uncle Johnson, who is actively serving, to Grandpa Bill, Grandpa Harold, Uncle Micah, and our many uncles and cousins who have and are still serving . . . we are ever grateful and indebted to you.

Uncle Johnson, we say a special thank you, for your time and sacrifice away from your family at such a tender time, to answer the call to serve our country . . . you have quite a heritage to pass on to your children.
