Luke's first race! and zoofari!

Luke ran in his very first race on Sunday . . . it was for a charity (Family Promise) in Shawnee. It ran right down our street! Luke has been so excited about it all week. when it was finally time, he wasn't sure he wanted to do it, but when he heard "ready, set, GO!" he took off!! he was the youngest & the littlest (& the cutest :)

daddy took home several medals . . . he got third overall & first in his division!! (5k time 19:49) Luke thought it was so cool that daddy was recognized by the crowd!

a shout out to the mommies

hey, gals, this is a post just for mommy giggles. when the going gets rough, and boy does it, sometimes you just have to laugh (after you cry :). we've been out of town (without muchly needed daddy) while our house is being worked on and the boys both happen to be cutting teeth. amidst the excitement, I've created a "there's nothing wrong with . . . " list. here goes. there's nothing wrong with 1. ritz crackers and apple juice for dinner--everybody's happy 2. rolling down all the windows on a road trip with both babies in the car (recently had the experience of one throwing up and the other pooping both in the same car trip--baby wipes never cease to amaze me) 3. wearing the same outfit 2 days in a row 4. earplugs 5. calling your mom and telling her you are sorry 6. really strong coffee 7. tantrums in public (we've all been there) 8. calling your best mommy friend and letting it all out 9. ponytails 10. having the occasional thought to call up brad and angelina to see if they are interested in adopting again (you've thought it, too) . . . feel free to add to my list!
