did somebody say "terrible two's??" . . .

what a week! these boys keep us hoppin'!

Luke called the egg cookie cutter an "Easter O" . . . he's right! it really is an "O."

we shared our cookies with daddy's nurses. here's Hank with Mrs. Reva. . . . and with Mimi Deb check out the boys' groovy new shades. thanks, Aunt KK!! the story behind these pics: the eggs were part of a special family project similar to Advent . . . each egg is symbolic for something in the Easter story. for instance, there is a little donkey inside one egg because Jesus rode on a donkey . . . I had just set them out on the sideboard and moments later, Luke showed up with a donkey and some plastic silver coins in his pocket. he had opened every one of them!! in no time at all! I asked him what he had to say for himself and he said "they were hard to open, mom!"

I love this little man.

today, Luke did the sweetest thing. he was playing in the living room at his little table with his dinosaurs and I heard "help you, please, Mama?" so I set Hank down and sat at his little table with him and I realized he wasn't talking to me at all . . . he had a "mama stegosaurus" and a "Luke stegosaurus" and the Luke stegosaurus was asking his mama for help because the big t-rex was coming. well, the mamasaurus jumped up and knocked that t-rex right off the table! and as he looked up at me, my heart jumped. he's still my sweetest little man, and yes, my little Lukasaurus, I will always do my best to knock off the t-rexes that come your way!!
